During the meeting, Shahbazov provided information on the work done in Azerbaijan in the fields of natural gas and renewable energy, especially the initiatives taken to expand the Southern Gas Corridor and export green energy to Europe. The Green Energy Corridor implemented between Romania and Hungary was discussed, and future cooperation opportunities in this direction were touched upon.
Bolea spoke about priority areas of cooperation in a number of areas, including natural gas supply. The importance of long-term contracts in gas supply in terms of energy security and sustainability was emphasized.
