The leadership of the friendship group of the Serbian parliament with Azerbaijan met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Serbia Kamil Khasiyev.He drew attention to the fact that fighters from Azerbaijan participated in the liberation of Serbia and Belgrade, including in the battles for the parliament building.

“EDnews” reports that the head of the friendship group with Azerbaijan Dusan Maric noted that in the days when we celebrate the anniversary of the Victory over fascism, it is necessary to emphasize the contributions of the Serbian and Azerbaijani peoples in World War II.

Maric thanked Azerbaijan for its sincere friendly support in defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia in international organizations and forums.In addition, he expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support in maintaining Serbia's energy stability.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Serbia K. Khasiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan will continue to support the protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, as this is a fundamental principle of international law.
