"The hearings were held in the House of Representatives of the US Congress on the topic of "The future of Nagorno-Karabakh". The radical decision make there regarding the 907th amendment once again showed that the West cannot accept a strong, sovereign, independent state of Azerbaijan. It is no coincidence that the organizer of the event held under the influence of the Armenian lobby, Thomas Keen, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on European Issues of the Congress, met with Lilit Makunts, the Ambassador of Armenia to the United States", -  MP Konul Nurullayeva said these thoughts during her statement to Ednews.

"The reality is that Azerbaijan has no obligation against either the US or the Congress. No country can speak the language of oppression with Azerbaijan. Today Azerbaijan does not need anyone's help. Only dependent Armenia needs such donations. Even during the occupation period, the United States allocated 10 million dollars a year to the separatists in Karabakh under the name of demining, and the conditions were created for the separatists to hold aid campaigns in the United States and collect money. Even in the post-conflict period, the policy of discrimination and double standards continues. In that case, of course, it will be inevitable that the US will lose its mediation role. The unilateral approach of the United States is the reason why the planned meeting between the heads of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on November 20 did not take place.
In general, the United States is the author of all the political cataclysms, wars, coups d'états, and civil wars happening in different regions of the world today.  The USA, which is trying to implement the same scenarios in the South Caucasus, has never been a supporter of peace in this region.

Despite such pressures, Azerbaijan will resolutely and adequately respond to all negative steps that are against its national interests. Norms and principles of international law have always been a priority in Azerbaijan's foreign policy. Official Baku has always acted in accordance with its international obligations and will continue to do so. All the steps and behavior of the USA, which is not a country of the region, affects the transport security efforts of the countries in the region.  Today, in fact, it is the United States that undermines confidence in the South Caucasus region and hinders comprehensive peace. It is Armenia that acts under the dictates of the United States that lacks the will to sign the peace treaty."
