The third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan gave an interview to Armnews.
According to Eurasia Diary, Sargsyan touched upon a number of interesting points in the interview regarding the current government and the Karabakh conflict.
Stating that there were "red lines" on Karabakh issue during his tenure, Sargsyan added that the current government is not so principled.
According to him, the fact that Karabakh was part of Azerbaijan was the main "red line".
Sargsyan also drew attention to how people who mocked his famous sentence "Aghdam is not our homeland" and took selfies against the background of Aghdam with saying "Aghdam is their homelan."
Noting that he was always ready for territorial concessions during his rule, Sargsyan stressed the need to return the Karabakh conflict to the negotiating table.
"This was the biggest problem of the current government, and Nikol Pashinyan did not understand the essence of the talks," he said.
In his interview, Sargsyan also touched upon the April fighting. He denied that Armenia had suffered serious losses, but said that Azerbaijan wanted a ceasefire due to numerous casualties and a ceasefire was declared with the mediation of Russia.
