The operational-tactical exercises of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, which will be held from 15th to 18th March, are of a planned nature and do not pose risks to stability and security in the region. This was stated on Friday at a briefing by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, answering the relevant question.
'Usually military exercises are conducted by all states of the South Caucasus, this is done on a regular basis, the relevant information is communicated to the interested parties in advance. According to our information, the mentioned exercises are, as I said, of a planned nature, aimed at improving the combat training of troops, and do not create risks for stability and security in the region,' said the diplomat.
