The government of Armenia gave a positive conclusion on the agreement on the status of the EU monitoring mission on the conditional Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Ednews informs referring to Armenian media.
The corresponding resolution was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 25.
The government sent it to the Constitutional Court to establish compliance with the Constitution of Armenia and, in case of a positive conclusion, submit it to parliament for ratification.
The agreement was signed on November 20, 2023 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan and the head of the EU diplomatic mission in Armenia Vassilis Maragos.
The document stipulates all technical issues of the mission’s work, including those related to their accommodation and medical care. For mission members, these issues will be resolved in much the same way as for foreign diplomats.
