Secretary-General and head of the observation mission from the CIS Sergei Lebedev noted with satisfaction the high voter turnout in the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Ednews reports.
Lebedev told journalists about this after observations at polling station No. 38 of the Nasimi-Sabayil constituency No. 23.
According to the secretary general, the voting process in the early presidential elections in Azerbaijan is taking place in an organized manner, and there is a high voter turnout. Lebedev noted that the high turnout also indicates the interest of citizens in participating in the elections.
“Citizens are interested in peace, stability and tranquility in the republic. Frankly, we – your neighbors, partners in the CIS are also extremely interested in peace and stability being fully restored in the South Caucasus and conditions created for further progressive development of Azerbaijan and other neighboring republics,” he said.
