The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe calls on the EU to give up Azerbaijan's energy resources.
Ednews informs that a vote on this was held at the plenary session held last evening.
The Parliament adopted two resolutions on Azerbaijan during its session on foreign policy and the EU's security and defense policy, each of which calls on the European Union to:
▪️ "Immediately impose sanctions against Azerbaijan and suspend the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Energy Partnership";
▪️ "In case of any military aggression of Azerbaijan against Armenia, be prepared to apply targeted and individual sanctions against the political and military leadership of (Azerbaijan), stop the import of oil and gas";
▪️ "Strengthen the mandate of the EU mission in Armenia, increase its size, extend its duration, and deploy observers on the border with Turkey" and urges Azerbaijan to "allow the EU mission in Armenia to be on its side." on the border and in Nagorno-Karabakh";
▪️ "Stop negotiations on a new partnership agreement with Azerbaijan"
It should be noted that 537 deputies participated in the voting, 350 of them were in favor, 91 were against, and 96 were neutral (refused to participate in the voting).
