The official opening ceremony of the III Diplomacy Forum was held in Antalya, Türkiye, Ednews informs.
The President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, and officials from other countries are participating in the forum.
The event brought together about 4,600 delegates from 110 nations across the globe. The forum aimed to foster a shared vision for resolving conflicts peacefully, as well as addressing various challenges such as war, terrorism, unlawful migration, anti-Islamic and xenophobic sentiments, unforeseen threats posed by artificial intelligence, environmental changes, calamities, outbreaks, and growing social and economic inequalities. The forum sought to find collaborative solutions to these pressing issues.
In 2024, more than 20 heads of state and government from more than 100 countries came to Antalya to participate in the international event, which was held under the theme "Bringing diplomacy to the fore in times of crisis." More than 60 countries, including Azerbaijan, are represented at the level of foreign ministers.
Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, will participate in the panel titled "Institutionalization of the Turkic World: The OTS in the 21st Century," which will be moderated by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanichbek Omuraliyev.
Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, will participate in the panel on "New foreign policy approaches to understanding changing security threats."
At the event, a panel session will be held under the leadership of the first lady of Türkiye, Emine Erdogan, on the topic of "High Level Session On Women, Peace, & Security.".
The panel, in which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoya, will participate, will discuss the topic of "international trade, communication, and interdependence."
