Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani (pictured) said at a press conference on Wednesday that today, the main issue in the negotiations between Israel and Hamas over a potential ceasefire is related to the return of displaced Palestinians to various parts of the Gaza Strip, Ednews reports.
"Qatar is doing its best to facilitate, to bridge the gaps, and to provide innovative solutions in order to get to a deal between the parties. But the responsibility actually lies in the hands of the parties. We are not the ones controlling the factors of these negotiations, yet we are trying our best to ensure these negotiations stay on the right course," he remarked.
Meanwhile, Hamas previously said in a statement that it will remain committed to its ceasefire demands, one of which includes the Israeli forces leaving Gaza.
