The Armenian lobby's campaign against the owners of the Crocus City Hall - Pundit talks on Ednews

Politics 13:25 09.04.2024

"The information war against Crocus City is primarily the result of the activities of the Armenian lobby, which has a voice in the Russian media. Because Araz Agalarov, a businessman who brought high-quality world brands to Russia, both show business and exhibition business, conducts activities that Armenians cannot digest in all fields."

Famous Azerbaijani journalist Fuad Abbasov said these words in his statement to Ednews while commenting on the rumors circulating in the Russian media about the opening of a criminal case against the Agalarovs.

"All the events that happened were an opportunity for the Armenian lobby. A campaign is underway to attack and discredit the Agalarov family, who are Azerbaijanis, who are of Azerbaijani descent, especially known for their closeness to the president's family. Let's not forget that Krokus' fire safety measures are not designed against a terrorist attack with Molotov cocktails and fire engulfing all of Krokus at once. Secondly, the security service of this place never carried a weapon. Their weapons were radio devices to communicate with each other, and batons were used against visitors who broke the law in one way or another while drunk. They never had firearms. On the other hand, everyone writes that Krokus has its firefighting team, but for some reason, this team was not there on the day of the fire and did not intervene. However, the forgotten issue is that those staff were employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, so they worked there to earn extra money in their off hours. Their evasion of responsibility should first be asked of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. That is, why did your employees evade responsibility during the fire?"

Noting the failure of this campaign, F. Abbasov also noted the similarity of the incident with the arrest of Anatoliy Zak.

"This campaign launched by the Armenian lobby is based primarily on the experience of the fire that broke out in Moscow's Lame Horse nightclub on December 5, 2009, which resulted in the death of 156 people and the 9-year imprisonment against the club owner, Anatoliy Zak. it would be a great achievement if either Araz Agalarova or any of their board members were given at least half the prison sentence given to Zak. But it seems to me that these activities are under the control of Russian President Putin. Putin will never allow anyone close to the family of the President of Azerbaijan A criminal case should be initiated against the Agalarovs. Because the business activities conducted by the Agalarovs directly impact the politics between the two countries. At a time when Armenia and Georgia are opposing Russia, the imprisonment of well-known businessmen of Azerbaijan, the only allied state in the South Caucasus region, means a direct violation of the relations between the two countries. However, this does not benefit Moscow in any way today. That's why I think that the activities of the Armenian lobby will not be able to keep up, no matter how much they keep up."
