During his official visit to Azerbaijan on April 28, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, visited the Alley of Honor to respectfully commemorate the memory of the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, the founder and architect of the modern independent Azerbaijani state. He placed a wreath at Aliyev’s grave as a sign of profound respect.
According to EDnews, the memory of the prominent ophthalmologist and academician, Zarifa Aliyeva, was also honored, with fresh flowers laid on her grave.
This visit to the Alley of Honor highlights the deep historical and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Iran, reflecting the mutual respect and admiration for Azerbaijan’s great leaders.
