In a statement to the press, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev mentioned that today, they naturally discussed trilateral cooperation projects, among which the North-South transport corridor holds a special place.

According to EDnews emphasized that this project will bring significant benefits to all participating countries and contribute greatly to their economies.

President Aliyev also stated that Azerbaijan has already implemented all the necessary infrastructure projects within its territory to ensure the functioning of this transport corridor. He noted that the country is currently expanding its transportation capabilities and infrastructure, particularly in anticipation of the increased cargo volumes.

The Azerbaijani president further highlighted that the expansion of infrastructure is not only aimed at increasing freight transport but also at strengthening economic cooperation and trade relations between the countries involved. He stressed that the North-South corridor will play a crucial role in the international transit system, accelerating the economic development of the participating nations.
