Apple is reportedly delaying the launch of new artificial intelligence features for European customers due to "uncertainties" regarding the European Union's Digital Markets Act, the Financial Times reported on Friday.
The report added that "due to the regulatory uncertainties brought about by the Digital Markets Act," the company doesn't believe "that we will be able to roll out three of these [new] features—iPhone Mirroring, SharePlay Screen Sharing enhancements, and Apple Intelligence " to EU users this year. The company is working with EU tech regulators to find a suitable solution, the media added.
The European Commission previously opened a probe into Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc., and Meta Platforms Inc. to assess their adherence to competition regulations. The same media also reported that the technology corporation is likely to be the first Big Tech company to face charges under these rules.
