Osmanov made the remark during a seminar and training themed "Cybersecurity for media entities" organized jointly by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, the Media Development Agency, the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport operating under the Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding.

Today, cybersecurity and information security are one of the most relevant topics, said Farid Osmanov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportv EDnews informs.

Active digitalization processes are taking place in our country. Digitalization of human society, civil society, government, and business services is being carried out. This, in turn, necessitates ensuring the security of personal data, combating disinformation, and implementing more active, coordinated activities in the direction of data protection.

The chairman also highlighted that media entities are one of the central points in this matter: “It is important for them to be sufficiently informed in the field of information and cybersecurity, to have knowledge and skills, to build secure infrastructure, and to apply preventive mechanisms and tools. This creates conditions for the effective delivery of educational ideas during communication with the masses.
