As reported, on November 13, due to the terror attack on Istiklal Street in Istanbul an explosion has killed 6 and injured 81.
According to Ednews, Umud Mirzayev, the president of the International Eurasia Press Fund has expressed his deep condolences to the people of the brother country Turkiye regarding the incident.
"Dear Turkiye, your pain is our pain, your joy is our joy. May Allah bless you! I offer my deepest condolences to the families of those who died as a result of the treacherous explosion, and I wish Allah's healing to the injured. I believe that justice will soon find their place and those who committed the terrorist act will receive their deserved punishment."
During the conversation, the president of the IEPF touched on one important issue. According to him, the disinformation spread in some media outlets and social networks and the images showing dismembered corpses taken from the scene of the incident are creating great panic and fear among people.
"The distribution and publication of such materials should be banned and people should not resort to such shallow actions for the sake of ratings. Because such cases also mean an act of moral terrorism."
Umud Mirzayev also noted that in this sensitive period, members of the media should be more careful and take into account the moral condition of people.
"In the event of a terrorist act, ensuring the information security of the state is considered an important condition. In this regard, it is the duty of every citizen to be careful in spreading misinformation about the event in the media and social networks. The incident should be treated more sensitively. Today, there are hundreds of news sites in the world and millions of people are social network users. Unfortunately, the disinformation spread there today creates fertile conditions for insidious forces trying to redirect political processes."
Umud Mirzayev also noted that the dissemination of open and frightening images taken from the scene of the incident not only creates agitation among people, but also has a very negative effect on their psychological conditions. He urged media representatives to be more careful before sharing such images that would create fear.
"We have publicized these issues from time to time. Terrorists use dirty propaganda. With this in mind, I recommend journalists and social media users to exercise restraint and not spread such images. These are unacceptable. I invite journalists to be more attentive to these points."
