Today, Russia for first time tested the launch of Tsirkon missile from ship.
Tass News Agency reports citing Russia's North-Western Federal District that Russia's Admiral Gorshkov navy at the Barents Sea tested the launch of Tsirkon missile against ground targets.
Other sources also confirmed this information, with noting that the range of Tsirkon's flight 500 km.
According to one source that Russia's navies will continue to carry out the test-launch of Tsirkon hypersonic missiles from delivery vehicles at the seas.
"After the program of test-launches from the board of the Admiral Gorshkov is over, these missiles will be test-fired from nuclear-powered submarines," the source commented.

In 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his natioal address to the Federal Assembly stated that the work on the completion of Tsirkon hypersonic missile was procedding as scheduled.
President Putin made important notes in his statement about Tsirkon missile.
He said that Tsirkon missile has striking range capability can exceed 1000 km, and thus missile could destroy any huge military target at the ground and seas.
Putin added that there were plans to deploy Tsirkon on serial-produced surface ships and submarines
Russian Deputy Defense Minister said that they had plans to accelerate the equipment of Tsirkon hypersonic missiles at the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov currently undergoing modernization and on the Project 949A multi-purpose nuclear-powered submarine Irkutsk.
The Project 22350 lead frigate Admiral Gorshkov displaces 4,500 tonnes and is 135 meters long. It carries Kalibr cruise missiles as its main armament.
