The introduction of the latest S-350 anti-aircraft missile systems to the Russian Air Force and Navy will increase the efficiency of repelling massive attacks by cruise missiles by four times, EDNews.net reports citing Bulgarian Military News.
“Within the framework of the State armament program, the delivery of S-350 systems to the military units of the airborne forces and the navy is planned in the near future, which will increase the efficiency of repelling massive attacks by enemy cruise missiles at the most important defense facilities,” the text of the TASS article quoted.
Recall that in February the first S-350 Vityaz air defense system entered the training center for anti-aircraft missile forces in Gatchina. In December 2019, the Aerospace Forces for the first time received the latest anti-aircraft missile system S-350 Vityaz.
The Vityaz S-350 system was developed by the Almaz-Antey concern in the interests of military air defense with a maximum target radius of 60 km and a maximum height of 30 km. The complex is designed to combat both aerodynamic and ballistic targets. One launcher of the complex is armed with 12 anti-aircraft missiles.
