“EDnews” reports that the head of state voiced this opinion on May 13 while receiving Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler.

Calling the self-destruction of the PKK terrorist group a historic event and saying that he was also happy for his country, the Azerbaijani President noted that the political will of the Turkish President played the most important role in this matter.

At the same time, the head of state emphasized that the strength of the Turkish state, the professional fight of the armed forces of the brotherly country against terrorists, and the unity of Turkish society are among the main factors in the terrorist group taking this step.

Ilham Aliyev said that this is an important issue not only for Turkey, but also for the peoples of the region in general to live in peace and security.
