Honored to host the San Francisco Consul General of Guatemala, Luis Fernando Carranza Cifuertes Heidi Kuhn

Heidi Thomas Kuhn, founder and CEO of Roots of Peace NGO hosted the San Francisco Consul General of Guatemala, Luis Fernando Carranza Cifuertes, at their Kuhn family home in Marin County.

EDnews reports that Mrs. Kuhn shared about this on her Facebook page:

"Honored to host the San Francisco Consul General of Guatemala, Luis Fernando Carranza Cifuertes, at our Kuhn family home in Marin County, as we discussed the importance of building bridges instead of borders across cultures."

She mentioned that Roots of Peace is working with Guatemalan farmers to grow high-value crops for export and trade to increase income:

"The rich soils of Central America produce a bounty of crops including specialty coffee, avocados, onions, and unique spices—giving farmers the dignity to cultivate peace through agriculture in their homeland."

"The ‘root’ cause of out-migration to the U.S. border is jobs.  And, as we teach farmers regenerative agriculture, they reap a harvest of prosperity from their own land and remain home with their families to ‘break bread with one another", the founder of the NGO concluded.
