Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov landed in New York and will remain there until January 24, Ednews reports via TASS.
The Russian diplomat will be taking part in sessions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), more specifically the ones dealing with the crisis in the Middle East and issues in Ukraine.
Previously, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters that no meeting with United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken was planned.
