Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (pictured) highlighted the importance of Israel accepting the establishment of a Palestinian state to achieve long-lasting peace in the region during his speech at the World Governments Summit in Dubai on Tuesday.
"If Israel truly desires lasting peace, it must abandon expansionist dreams and accept the existence of an independent Palestinian state. Regional peace is closely linked to the establishment of a Palestinian state," Erdogan added."Unfortunately, the Islamic world is insufficient in stopping Israel."
Additionally, Erdogan expressed his belief that a "just peace" between Ukraine and Russia is still "possible" and called on countries to support the United Nations Palestine Relief Agency (UNRWA) to ensure its labor in Gaza.
