Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban said on Monday that the Western allies won't be able to win a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, adding that time is not on the former's side.
"There is only one solution: peace negotiations must begin sooner or later," Orban said while delivering a speech at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He further added that the sooner this happens, the better it will be for everyone involved.
Meanwhile, talking about Russia-Hungary cooperation, Orban noted that the country has no plans to give up on it, adding that Hungary is only not collaborating with Russia in fields that have been affected by the European Union sanctions.
