Polish nationalists are demanding the resignation of the Internal Affairs and Administration Minister Marcin Kierwiński, due to the street riots that occurred on Wednesday, Krzysztof Bosak, Vice-Marshal of the Polish Sejm from the Confederation Liberty and Independence, Ednews informs.
"Today I will demand information from the Prime Minister on this issue, and we demand the resignation of Minister Kierwiński for what happened. This could not happen without permission from above," Bosak said, noting that the police used tear gas, as a result of which some Confederation members were also injured.
During a street protest by farmers on Wednesday, protesters set fire to tires and threw burning objects towards the Sejm building. They also dismantled the cobblestone sidewalk and threw stones at the police. As a result, 14 police officers were injured and 52 rioters were detained.
