White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and assured him of US support during his visit to Kiev, NSC Spokesperson Adrienne Watson said in a statement, Ednews reports.
According to the document, Sullivan assured the country’s leadership of the United States’ "unwavering commitment" to Ukraine. He also discussed the outcome of the recent Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting at the Ramstein air base in Germany with Zelensky, head of his office Andrey Yermak and other Ukrainian officials.
Moreover, he stressed the urgent need for the US House of Representatives to pass the national security supplemental to provide aid to Ukraine and discussed ongoing efforts with allies and partners to support Ukraine.
