A source within the Russian intelligence services confirmed they had indeed received preliminary alerts from the United States regarding a potential terrorist threat, Ednews informs with reference to TASS.
It was noted that this information was of a general nature: "There was such information, but nothing concrete."
According to the information, Adrienne Watson, spokesperson for the US National Security Council, disclosed last Friday that the US had alerted Russian authorities in March about a possible terrorist attack in Moscow, particularly in locations prone to large gatherings, such as concert venues.
A terrorist attack took place in the Crocus City Hall center in Moscow last evening. More than 80 people died as a result of the incident. 11 people were detained in connection with the incident.
