On the thresholdof the US Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien’s visit to Yerevan, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, voiced a number of accusations against Russia, Ednews reports citing Armenian media.
Accoridng to the information, he accused the official Moscow of not fulfilling the promises it made to his country.
“Armenia believed until the last moment with naivety of a child that Russia would not leave it and the Armenian people alone that,” – he noted.
Simonyan commented on the issue with CSTO as well: “Let CSTO fulfill the commitments it made in the last 2-3 years, and then let it talk about our financial obligations. There is a wise saying: "Despite whose cow bleats, let your cow be silent."
Note that James O'Brien, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs will pay a visit to Armenia on June 10-12.
