Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Tuesday that the output at the Sharara oil field will be reduced due to demonstrations by protesters from the Fezzan region.
The NOC appealed to the protesters to "take into account the national interest and support [its] efforts aimed at stabilizing and increasing production." Earlier reports suggested the oil field cut output by around 20%. The field's normal production is around 300,000 barrels per day.
