The United States Secret Service is increasing protection for major election candidates, former US President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Washington Post reported. Presidential Protective Division spokesperson Alexi Worley said the service will assign some agents from President Joe Biden's detail to help plan events attended by Trump and Harris in the wake of a shooting at a Trump rally in July.
"On a case-by-case basis for complex and large-scale events, experienced Presidential Protective Division personnel may assist in advance planning for former President Donald Trump and other high-level protectees," Worley said. According to the report, the Secret Service could also use ballistic glass, drones and other measures to protect Harris and Trump.
