Weeks before the release of DC’s next film, Justice League, Jason Momoa surprised his fans by tying the knot with his longtime girlfriend Lisa Bonet. There were rumours that the two had already married each other in 2007, but the couple never made an official announcement until October this year when they obtained their marriage license.
The couple had a wedding ceremony at their house in Topanga, California. The guest list in their wedding included Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander and their three kids. Jason Momoa and Lisa are also parents of a 10-year-old daughter named Lola Iolani Momoa, and an 8-year-old son named Nakoa-Wolf.
Jason Momoa gained fame for his performance in the television series Game of Thrones where he played the role of Khal Drogo. Though his character appeared only in the first season, Jason is still remembered by fans of the show for his fantasic portrayal. He will soon be seen in Warner Bros’ Justice eague, as the superhero, Aquaman. That’s not all, in 2018 Jason will be starring in his solo film, Aquaman, which will be directed by James Wan.
About Aquaman, Jason said in a statement, “The cool thing about Aquaman is that it’s an origin story, and where we start and where we end up is just going to be amazing. It really is a beautiful movie, and I feel really lucky to be part of it. James is fantastic to work with and what we shot down there in Australia was incredible.”
“I think having heroes who are so inspirational really helps people overcome adversities in their own lives. They help us believe in ourselves – and all of us need that. We all need to be inspired, and these characters teach us that we too can be heroes; we too can help others, and try to make this world we’re in a better place,” he added.
