On May 14, the Bilim Guba center began operating.The opening ceremony of the center was attended by Fuad Garayev, Head of the Office of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and other Azerbaijani and Turkish officials.
EDnews reports that the center, located in the Guba "ASAN Life" complex, operates within the framework of the "Bilim Azerbaijan" project.
The goal is to create conditions for talented children living in the regions to reveal their potential and integrate into the international scientific and technological environment.
Creating accessible and high-quality technological education opportunities for students living in the region is also a key goal. There are 4 laboratories operating here: “Mathematics Laboratory”, “Astronomy, Space and Aviation Laboratory”, “Design Laboratory”. Each of them can serve 20 people, and in total 80 students at the same time.
The center also implements the ''Technology Program”, which applies a project-based and problem-oriented education approach in line with the requirements of the future. 80 people selected from among 1,000 students who participated in the selection exam held in Guba in April 2025 have gained the right to study in the said program.
Within this framework, students will participate in trainings based on the development of technology and projects in 11 different subjects.
