Today, in Baku, the traditional Azerbaijan Microfinance Conference is being held, organized by the "Azerbaijan Microfinance Association" (AMFA) Public Union.
This time, the event is focused on the theme "Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Microfinance."
The conference is attended by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association, Jalal Aliyev, Executive Director Jala Hajiyeva, Chairman of the Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis, Azer Amiraslanov, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, Mammad Musayev, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, Osman Khaliev, General Director of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Toghrul Aliyev, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank, Sunniya Durrani-Jamal, Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Inara Valiyeva, President of the "Azerbaijan Banks Association" Public Union, Zakir Nuriyev, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Poland Microfinance Center, Archil Bakuradze.
The event will feature panel discussions on topics such as "Microfinance Environment: Azerbaijan and Global Experience," "Digital Transformation and Technologies in Microfinance Organizations," "Cybersecurity Challenges in Digital Microfinance," "Risk Management in Microfinance," and "Access to Finance: The Role of Investors and the Financial Inclusion Landscape."
The goal of these discussions is to analyze the current state of microfinance in Azerbaijan and compare it with global trends, as well as to explore the integration of digital technologies into microfinance operations, ensure information security in the digital microfinance landscape, identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and contribute to the development of financial inclusion.
