Gangi noted that modern agricultural production in the country is developing in accordance with international standards, sustainable technologies are being introduced, and food security is being strengthened.
Innovative approaches are already yielding tangible results in Azerbaijan's agriculture, FAO Deputy Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia Nabil Gangi said at the 4th Agribusiness Development Forum held in Baku, EDnews informs.
"Best agricultural practices are applied in accordance with international standards, ensuring safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly food production. Modern technologies are actively introduced to boost productivity and efficiency. The expansion of sustainable irrigation systems also helps to conserve resources in the face of climate stress," he said.
According to the FAO official, various initiatives of Azerbaijan within the framework of COP29 have strengthened the importance of sustainable development and the role of innovation in the agricultural sector.
