Oil prices edged lower on Monday as investors focused on the possibility of renewed talks between the United States and Iran in Doha, raising expectations of easing geopolitical tensions and potential changes in global crude supply.
Brent crude, the international benchmark, fell 0.9 percent, or 64 cents, to $72.51 per barrel as of 03:56 GMT. The benchmark remains roughly $20, or 22 percent, below its closing level from last month as traders continue to assess the outlook for energy markets.
