An international conference on missing persons is underway in Baku, jointly organized by Azerbaijan's State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons and the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).
Held under the theme "Modern Approaches to Addressing the Issue of Missing Persons and Strengthening Cooperation," the conference brings together government officials, international experts and forensic specialists to discuss best practices and enhance collaboration in resolving missing persons cases.
Among the participants are State Commission Secretary and Head of the Working Group Gazanfar Ahmadov, Deputy Head of the State Security Service Lt. Gen. Sharafat Hasanov, ICMP Director-General Kathryne Bomberger, Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, Director of the Association of Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Adalat Hasanov, Head of the State Security Service's Main Military Medical Department Maj. Gen. Rufat Aliyev, as well as members of parliament and other senior officials.
