President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon are continuing their talks in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, the president's press service said, AkiPress reports.

"Your visit will give additional impetus to expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation. We are satisfied with yesterday's talks that were held in the atmoshphere of full understanding and trust," President Jeenbekov said.

"I am sincerely glad about the agreements reached concerning expansion of a broad range of bilateral cooperation aspects. We have demonstrated same position about acceleration of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border delimitation, agreed to work on the border issues starting with simple and then proceeding to complex issues on the basis of mutual trust and in view of mutual interests. We exchanged views on regional and international issues, hydropower issues in the region, in which Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan play an important role. In this context Kyrgyzstan highly values and supports the policy of Tajikistan in drawing world attention to problems of water use at the global level," the President emphasized.

The President of Tajikistan thanked for the invitation to visit Kyrgyzstan.

"I am glad about our meeting on hospitable Kyrgyz land. The meeting will enable us to continue our constructive dialogue on relevant issues of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation agenda. We are interested in stable development of a close cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, attach a great importance to consistent strengthening of good neighborly relations between our countries. Tajikistan reaffirms readiness to further strengthen political dialogue, to enhance trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations with the Kyrgyz Republic," President Rahmon stressed.

The first round of talks was held on July 26 in Isfara.
