Umud Mirzayev appealed to Andrey Kovatchev: "The facts of Azerbaijan should also be discussed at the conference"

On March 19, the European Parliament is set to host a pivotal conference titled "Armenian Prisoners of War in Azerbaijan: A 3-Year Review Post-EU Resolution." Organized by Andrey Kovatchev, a prominent deputy from the European People's Party faction in Bulgaria, the event aims to scrutinize the ongoing situation since the EU's resolution on May 20, 2021, demanding the unconditional release of Armenian prisoners and civilians held in Azerbaijan.

Why do international organizations and the state of Armenia not give up these steps even though they know that Azerbaijan will not give up the war for justice?

Regarding the issue, Umud Mirzayev, president of the International Eurasia Press Fund, told Ednews that holding such a conference is primarily Christian bigotry. Here's the obvious side of the matter:

"The Western countries are mainly acting from a “Christian” position. On the other hand, the weaker Armenia itself is, the stronger its external lobby is. Armenian separatists, who failed their unsuccessful activities in Karabakh, have now taken on the mission of confusing the international community. Unfortunately, there are forces that have been supporting the separatists for many years. When the lands of Azerbaijan were divided 200 years ago, they gave impetus to the separatist mission. 100 years ago, when the Soviets were formed, they encouraged the creation of Armenia at the expense of Azerbaijani lands. They carry out this activity even today."

U. Mirzayev mentioned the book "Europe: I Fight, I Win" by Wilfrid Martens, the former prime minister of Belgium, the chairman of the European People's Party, a well-known political and public figure of Europe, published in Azerbaijani with the support of IEPF:

"Note that the founder of the party of deputy Andrey Kovatchev from the faction of the European People's Party is my old friend Wilfrid Martens. I knew him well. He was very objective and honest in such matters. It is quite a serious publication. The book reminds us how and why the European Union was created, especially for young people. In this book, very interesting and valuable points of European and world politics, events that directly affect the socio-political processes in which the author himself is a participant, are written. The author, who said in the publication that writing a memoir is the most difficult of all writing tasks, after deciding to publish the book in our native language, explained the reason for the great interest in the book in Azerbaijan: "Why do they show such interest in European construction in Azerbaijan? This European country, which is a member of the "Eastern Partnership Program", has an exceptional geographical location - Azerbaijan, which Russia, Turkey, and Iran surround, has been able to form its identity and preserve its uniqueness throughout history. However, the region is unstable. Ancient regional conflicts are still waiting to be resolved. Perhaps the experience of European construction, especially the reconciliation of Germany and France, which fought mercilessly against each other, can serve as an example. However, I understand very well that it takes courage for political leaders to show practical initiatives and for people to forget their grudges and join these initiatives." I mentioned this book so that Kovatchev does not show a one-sided position. As W. Martens wrote about this in his political analyst's book.

The head of the fund called on Andrey Kovatchev, to pay attention to the realities of Azerbaijan:

"I appeal to Kovatchev to show loyalty and loyalty to the path of his predecessors. Let him take steps that serve to bring peace and reconciliation, not to inflame separatism in the region. During the discussions at the conference, he should bring his topic from the level of Armenia to the level of Azerbaijan. Armenian vandals and separatists committed many genocides, deportations, and extreme tortures against Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan's truths should also be discussed during the conference.

It should be noted that our employees tried to establish contact with Andrey Kovatchev. Kovatchev's assistant was contacted. His assistant said Kovatchev will respond to the issue in the next few days. Our relations with him will continue.
