Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has filed a lawsuit against former MP from his own party (Civil Contract) Sofia Hovsepyan and former colleague from the Yelk parliamentary faction, leader of the Bright Armenia party Edmon Marukyan.
Pashinyan is demanding an apology from Hovsepyan for the insulting statements and a refutation of allegations regarding the falsification of parliamentary elections. As compensation, Pashinyan is seeking 2 million drams ($5,400) for insults and 4 million drams ($10,800) for defamation.
The lawsuit against Marukyan has been published in an incomplete form, and the claims against him are not specified. It only states the grounds for the lawsuit - a video posted on Marukyan"s Telegram channel, which was also published shortly after the elections.
