There is a possibility that after May 10 we will be able to observe a decline in the coronavirus epidemic. “The process of weakening and perish of COVİD-19 has begun, and this will accelerate in May. We can say that after May 10, the incubation period of the virus may come to an end, ”Jalal Isaev, a member of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, the chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health, told media.
He also added that Azerbaijan may completely lift the quarantine regime in the second half of May if the positive trend continues and the incubation period is left behind. In addition, the infectious disease specialist added that, despite all of the above, the virus can maintain its viability in society, so people should not stop observing security measures:
“Even in the event of quarantine cancellation, we must continue for a certain period to observe the safety rules with all responsibility.” As for the second wave, J.Isaev noted that this issue largely depends on the citizens themselves:
“There is a process of easing quarantine conditions. But this does not mean that you can stop following the recommendations and safety rules. We must not allow this. We must take care of ourselves as much as possible. And not only ourselves, but also those around us .... We must continue to act in the same direction. Do not visit crowded places, avoid contact with other people as much as possible. Observe the rules of hygiene with all severity. ”
