Calculations of Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems successfully destroyed conditional enemy cruise missiles during live firing at the Telemb range in Buryatia, Eurasia Diary reports citing Bulgarian Military News.
“During combat firing, the Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems’ calculations successfully hit Saman targets, which in their geometric, ballistic and radar characteristics simulated small-sized conditional enemy cruise missiles flying at low altitude,” BBO reports to TASS.
As specified in the press service, the calculations performed eight military launches.
The exercises of the air defense forces started in early February. They attracted more than 4 thousand troops, involved about 700 units of weapons and military equipment, including the highly mobile multifunctional anti-aircraft missile systems of medium range “Buk-M2”, SAM “Osa”, “Tor”, “Strela-10”.
