The Board of Peace announced on Tuesday that the first tactical vehicles have arrived at the logistics support base of the International Security Force (ISF) in the Gaza Strip, marking another step in preparations for the deployment of a multinational stabilization mission.
In a post on X, the Board of Peace confirmed the arrival of the vehicles at the facility known as "Logistics Support Area: Endurance" and released photographs documenting their delivery.
The development comes as a Hamas delegation arrived in Cairo for talks with Egyptian officials and international mediators on implementing the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
The Board of Peace was established in January under an initiative launched by US President Donald Trump as part of efforts to advance a political settlement in Gaza. Its inaugural meeting was held on Feb. 19 at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington.
According to the initiative, the proposed multinational force would assume security responsibilities during the second phase of the ceasefire, support humanitarian aid deliveries and help facilitate reconstruction efforts following additional Israeli troop withdrawals.
The ceasefire's first phase included a temporary truce, prisoner exchanges and provisions for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from parts of Gaza. Negotiations are continuing over the implementation of subsequent phases of the agreement.
