As we reported, the US State Department denied the information published by the Politico publication "about Azerbaijan's plans to attack Armenia".
It should be recalled that the article published in the American version of "Politico" stated that in a meeting with American congressmen, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken allegedly warned that Azerbaijan may attack Armenia in the coming weeks. However, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller denied this news in a statement.
Simply put, we have before us an example of how a publication with a huge readership, seemingly authoritative on the surface, "doesn't know what it's talking about".
Of course, the publication did not convey its mistake to the readers and neither publicly nor quietly apologized to Azerbaijan.
"Politico's publication in support of the Armenian regime is another failed attempt by Armenian social action groups to spread false information and expand their smear campaign against the Azerbaijani government."
These words were said by political expert, founder and general director of the Azerbaijan-US Economic and Education Council, IEPF's representative in the US, Peter Tase, in his statement to Ednews.
He believes that the publication continues to be influenced by pro-Armenian politicians and spread fake news rather than focusing on more pressing Middle East security issues using US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
"As the President of Azerbaijan has always assured the International Public; The government of Azerbaijan is a highly responsible international actor, and Baku's only goal is to exercise full control over its sovereign territory. The Biden-Harris administration and the European Parliament should carefully analyze the geopolitical prerogatives that Azerbaijan has acquired in the last ten years under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Both Washington and Brussels should avoid political hypocrisy towards Baku and the EU should immediately establish closer relations with the government of Azerbaijan and remove all sanctions applied against the democratic government of Azerbaijan.
