November 8 - Victory Day is a day that Azerbaijan had held and will always be holding and rememberin proudly.
Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army achieved incredible success in its victory march, which began on September 27, 2020, in order to prevent successive provocations and new invasion plans of Armenia and to liberate our occupied lands.
Starting from September 27, until November 10, there was not a single day when President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the heads of other high authorities of his state did not receive calls full of pressure to stop the war. Together with the Azerbaijani army, the people also showed their support on different platforms, in the field of media, and in institutions.
French President Emmanuel Macron, a dear friend of Armenians, was quietly stepping aside, German Chancellor Angela Merkel kept calling, followed by calls from Brussels, the OSCE, the European Union, and the Council of Europe. Although Washington was preoccupied with its own internal affairs, at least the Speaker of the Senate, Nancy Pelosi, Senators Frank Pallone, Robert Menendez and others spoke on behalf of the US state. All of them "ordered" the cessation of hostilities to the Azerbaijani state, which wanted to liberate its land, which had been under occupation for more than 28 years.
They thought that they would "condemn" the conflict they had avoided for 30 years by giving one or two resolutions and easily solve it. However, this did not happen, the Azerbaijani army applied its success, sovereignty, realistic and correct policy in the area.
As a result of military operations lasting 44 days, Jabrayil (04.10.2020), Fuzuli (17.10.2020), Zangilan (20.10.2020), Gubadli (25.10.2020), Shusha (08.11.2020), Aghdam (20.11.2020) were captured by the brave Azerbaijani Army. ), Kalbajar (25.11.2020), Lachin (01.12.2020).
Including more than 300 settlements including Minjivan, Aghband, Bartaz settlements of Zangilan district, Hadrut settlement and many villages of Khojavend district, Sugovushan village of Tartar district, several villages of Khojaly and Lachin districts, Agdara, Murovdag and Important strategic heights in the direction of Zangilan were freed from occupation. The November 8 victory was won not only on the military training ground, but also on the diplomatic front, in the information space, and the successful attacks complemented each other.
Today will be the 3rd anniversary of that Victory Day and the day will be celebrated in a very special way. The people will celebrate this victory more enthusiastically and solemnly. Our martyrs will be cherished more, and our veterans will be given greater values.
At present, all these realities will be celebrated in a separate sphere in a way that the joy of the Azerbaijani people will have no limit. The Azerbaijani army has already restored the sovereignty of its territories and ensured its strength by expelling the separatists from its territory. The Republic of Azerbaijan did not pay attention to the opinions expressed and removed the "tetris" like flags of the separatists.
Undoubtedly, the event that will officially put an end to all this will take place in Khankendi, at the parade held by the Azerbaijani army. The glorious army of Azerbaijan will now hold a military parade in the place of the so-called regime's army, which was proudly displayed at the time. And it will occur on Victory Day. This will cause all our people to be filled with joy, and that joy and sorrow of the mothers of martyrs and veterans will be in harmony and relief. With this, we will have demonstrated our word in action to the whole world and especially to the government of Armenia with this act.
Our duty is to express our gratitude to those who gave this beautiful day to the people. Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, to the fighting generals, colonels, other officers and unknown soldiers, we express our gratitude to all who contributed to the victory. We wish God's mercy to our martyrs and good health to our veterans.
Karabakh is Azerbaijan! Long live Karabakh, long live glorious Azerbaijan!
