The death toll from Russian airstrikes on Ukraine’s northeastern city of Sumy has risen to 22, an official said Wednesday, Anadolu Agency reports.
Dmytro Zhyvytsky, head of Ukraine's Sumy Regional Military Administration, said the Sumy region was bombed three times Tuesday and that 22 people lost their lives, including three children.
Noting that eight people were wounded in the attacks, Zhyvytsky said more than 20 single-story homes were also destroyed.
