Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (pictured right) said on Wednesday that he cannot assess the threat Wagner fighters will pose to Ukraine if they relocate to Belarus but that he expects that the "contingent will not be very large." Speaking at a press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda (left), he added that the Ukrainian military reported the situation near the border with Belarus is unchanged and under control.
Meanwhile, Duda said NATO should carefully examine Wagner's transfer to Belarus, as well as the tactical nuclear weapons that Russia sent to the country. He said Wagner could pose a threat to Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia, calling for enhanced intelligence activity in the region and promising to raise the issue with NATO allies.
