Sergey Aksyonov (pictured), the Russian-appointed head of Crimea, said on Friday that Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) managed to prevent a "terrorist attack" that Ukraine was preparing in Crimea.
"Transport infrastructure facilities are one of the main targets of terrorists; increased attention is paid to ensuring the security of these facilities. Thanks to the FSB employees for their effective work! And an unenviable fate awaits Ukrainian agents. They will be found and punished," Aksyonov said in a Telegram post and added a suspect was detained.
The Russian-installed official also noted Ukraine tried to conduct a drone attack on the region but air defenses managed to shoot the unmanned aerial vehicle down.
