Al-Jazeera's correspondent Osama bin Javaid, who is on a trip to Karabakh, commented on the latest situation in Karabakh live.
Ednews informs that the correspondent broadcasting directly from the city of Horadiz shared his views with his viewers regarding the explosion that happened in Khankendi and the Armenians who are leaving Karabakh:
"As we reported a while ago, about 13 thousand Armenians are leaving the territory. How much pressure are they applying to the Armenians who left now?" - in response to the question:
"Currently there is a steady flow of people. We can see a crowd of thousands of people from far away. All persons who leave a relatively long distance from the border have their vehicles registered and are allowed to leave later. People have been leaving the area regularly for the past 48 hours. Despite all the obligations guaranteed to them by the Azerbaijani side, they take all the things they can and return to Armenia. Although meetings have been held to take certain decisions, a joint decision has not yet been taken. Therefore, ethnic Armenians think it is more appropriate to leave the territory."
Later, the reporter gave information about the details of the explosion that happened last night in Khankendi.
"Several fuel stations have been established outside the border. The cause of the explosion in Khankendi has not yet been revealed, but it has been officially reported that 20 people have died and more than 100 have been injured. According to the spread information, Azerbaijan has opened the airspace for the arrival of the helicopter of the Ministry of Health of Armenia to the city of Khankendi for the Armenians who did not accept the offer of healthcare assistance of the Azerbaijani government. All service branches have regularly mobilized their activities for assistance by Russian peacekeepers and the ICRC.
In the end, the reporter stressed that the process of disarmament of the territory is going fast and the Azerbaijani side maintains its position and presents the principle of volunteering to all ethnic Armenians.
