Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami on Saturday warned Israel against going forward with the ground operation in the Gaza Strip, underscoring that their troops would be "swallowed" and "buried" in the Strip.
"They [the Israeli forces] are incapable of fighting against Hamas. The land is the strong point of Hamas," Hossein said at the conference in Iran's western city of Khorramabad. "Gaza is the burial ground of the politics, strategy, and power of all those who have joined hands to kill the children of Gaza and dominate them," the commander underscored.
Hossein said the Palestinian Resistance movement has put the "Zionist" Israeli regime in crisis, and he denounced the United States and European officials for traveling to Israel to provide support for it.
