Turkey's ship carrying crucial humanitarian supplies to assist Palestinians in the Gaza Strip left the Izmir port on Friday, Ednews informs via Anadolu Agency.
The aid shipment that will be delivered to Al Arish, Egypt, consists of approximately 500 tons of equipment, including medication, medical devices, 8 field hospitals, 20 ambulances, and other medical supplies, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca revealed the day before. The minister also expressed Ankara's readiness to accept cancer patients from Gaza, particularly children, for treatment in Turkey.
Earlier, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan stated that he addressed United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during his visit to Ankara to increase the number of daily aid trucks entering Gaza to 500.
