Russian forces are experiencing "particularly heavy casualties" in the ongoing fighting around Avdiivka, Ednews reports that the British Ministry of Defence in an intelligence briefing on said about this.
Avdiivka is one of the three key areas witnessing intense ground combat in Ukraine, along with the Kupiansk and Lugansk regions.
"As colder winter weather sets in earnest in eastern Ukraine, there are few immediate prospects of major changes in the frontline," the ministry stated, noting that "neither side has achieved substantial progress in any of these areas."
